SRE Manager
Managing a small SRE team means that I split my time between managing and engineering tasks.
As a manager I have to improve our overall services, keep AWS costs at bay, design and prepare our infrastructure for future business requeriments, enhance our security posture and work closely with product teams.
As engineer I work with my teammates to put in place tools for development and product teams, ensure the scalability, reliability and availability of our services, provide the correct monitoring of our infrastructure and CI/CD cycle.
Senior Site Realibity Engineer
As the first SRE of the company I had one primary goal: prepare and secure the infrastructure and its services for a daily use in a big data startup. During the first months I redefined how we access, use and deploy apps in our AWS cloud, its security and unified roles, accounts and services.
After stabilizing and building the main pillars of the infrastructure, the SRE team worked on multiple fronts to bring stability, security and make the work for all the people in Inspide easier paying special attention to security, scalability, monitoring and cost control.

Solutions Architect
My job as a cloud Solutions Architect implies seeking, designing and explaining global solutions for a multi account environment in AWS (+90 accounts). These solutions are related with basic services or infrastructure like communication, connectivity, backup or DNS and they impact on several accounts, if not all of them. This transversal solutions are made with AWS Best Practices and security guidelines in mind.
During the COVID-19 confinement my team moved 1200 people to AWS public cloud in just two weeks following all security regulations.

Security Cloud Engineer
I've worked as Cloud Senior System Administrator focused on infrastructure, with connectivity and security in mind. Among my tasks are core services, direct connect lines and multi-account deployments, all on AWS.
Working entirely in AWS, I was using several services from the platform and making an extensive use of Infrastructure as code (Iac, CloudFormation) in a multi-account environment. Also, I was designing and implementing some of the core services to be run across the organization, like full connectivity framework (Direct Connect, VPN, VPC peering) or internal domain name service (DNS).

My job was about managing systems and developing the appliance platform in Research and Developing (R&D) Department. My tasks were support and evolve the appliance Operating System (Debian GNU/Linux), integrate third party programs and platforms (Zimbra, Active Directory, SQL Server, etc...), projects managing and pre-sales. In WhiteBearSolutions I've specialized in IDM and backup solutions.
I also developed the new website, based on Wordpress and integrated with Customer and Partners portals.
Although WBS is based in Madrid, I did telecommute work from Mérida (Spain) using company and clients infrastructures.
OSS Senior System Engineer Executive
Development of SESLinEX (LinGobEX Salud), a linux based distribution for Health Care system in Extremadura, Spain
I lead a team of 3 for developing a thin-client computer, based on Debian GNU/Linux, that works in Extremadura's Health System infrastructure. Currently we're managing +10,000 computers and serving to +25,000 users (doctor, nurses, etc.). It has to integrate with server applications like SAP, directory services like Active Directory and LDAP, and storage services like CIFS and NFS and it's all based in open source software.

Linux Senior Systems Engineering and Project Manager
I worked as a Linux Administrator, managing and tuning Linux servers in a small ISP company. In addition to this, I was responsible for assigning duties to the other team members and providing then with guidance. We developed version number seven of extremadura.com, the largest portal in Extremadura (Spain).
Technical Manager and System Administrator
My role at Centro SAT in Ciudad Tecnológica de Valnalón included managing a heterogeneous network of Linux, Windows and Mac OS X based systems, developing web pages and setting up VoIP and video conference systems. I was responsible for network security. I did some speeches about technology and IT services and developed some consultant skills.
